1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Tunnelcast. By using the Tunnelcast service (including the web portal, the API, the Discord application, or any connected game-client integration), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Installing or authorising the Tunnelcast Discord application in a server you manage, or otherwise linking a Discord server or channel, also constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
2. Service Description
Tunnelcast is a game-server integration platform that relays live game-server events (such as chat messages, player connects and disconnects, and match state) to several destinations:
- Discord channels you have linked
- A web portal (public unless the server is limited to staff-only) where relayed content from a public server may be visible to anyone
- Connected game clients
- Peer servers that belong to the same network, where content may be visible to their members
By linking a channel, server, or network, you acknowledge and agree that chat messages and player connection data from the connected game server are relayed to these destinations (including the public web portal, connected game clients, Discord, and any network peers) and may therefore be visible outside the space where they were originally created. How this data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
To keep this relay transparent to the people affected by it, Tunnelcast adds disclosure notices at both ends of the relay:
- In the linked Discord channel. When you link a channel, Tunnelcast posts a short relay-disclosure notice telling people that events are relayed via Tunnelcast and may appear on the public web portal, in connected game clients, and across network peers. Where Tunnelcast is able to set the channel topic (the Manage Channels permission), Tunnelcast keeps the notice in the channel's topic (description) and restores it if it is changed or removed while the channel remains linked. Where it cannot set the topic, Tunnelcast instead posts the notice as a message in the channel itself and re-posts it periodically so it stays visible. If Tunnelcast cannot deliver the notice through either surface, it does not relay messages from that channel. Maintenance runs periodically as a background process rather than instantly, so a change may take a period to be reflected. The notice is removed only when you unlink the channel.
- In the game client. Players connected through a linked game client see an always-on, non-removable in-client notice that their chat is relayed via Tunnelcast.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. We do not guarantee that any particular feature, integration, or destination will remain available.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Tunnelcast, in line with Discord's minimum age requirement. If the laws of your country set a higher minimum age for using online services, you must meet that age. By using the service you confirm that you meet these requirements.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Tunnelcast lawfully and responsibly. You must not:
- Relay, publish, or transmit content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, or otherwise harmful
- Harass, threaten, or target any individual or group
- Use the relay to send spam, flood channels, or distribute unsolicited or repetitive messages
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limits, usage limits, or other technical or operational controls
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or connected systems
- Disrupt, overload, or impair the operation of Tunnelcast or the infrastructure it relies on
We may remove content, throttle, suspend, or terminate access that we reasonably believe violates these Terms.
5. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for activity under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate account and configuration information
- Keep your credentials, server tokens, and API keys secure, and not share them with people who should not have access
- Notify us promptly if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised
If you are a server owner who links a Discord channel, server, or network, you must inform both your Discord community and your in-game players that chat messages and connection data from your game server are relayed via Tunnelcast, including to a public web portal, connected game clients, Discord, and any network peers. You must ensure you have any necessary permission or legal basis to relay that data, and that your use complies with the rules of the platforms you connect. The data-handling details that you should make available to your community and players are set out in our Privacy Policy.
You must not remove, alter, obscure, or otherwise circumvent the relay-disclosure notices that Tunnelcast places in a linked Discord channel or in the connected game client. These notices exist so that the people whose messages are relayed are told about it. Tunnelcast keeps the notice in the channel's topic where it is able to set it (the Manage Channels permission), and otherwise posts it periodically as a message in the channel itself, maintaining and restoring it periodically while the channel is linked; where it can deliver the notice through neither surface, Tunnelcast does not relay messages from that channel. If you no longer wish to display the notice, unlink the channel rather than deleting it.
As described in our Privacy Policy, Tunnelcast remains responsible for its own data-protection obligations as a (joint) controller; allocating the duty to notify your community and players to you, the server owner, does not transfer those obligations away from us.
6. Third-Party Services
Tunnelcast integrates with third-party services, most notably Discord. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. In particular, your use of Discord is subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. You are responsible for complying with them when you use Tunnelcast.
Tunnelcast works with games made by other companies. Tunnelcast is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Epic Games, Valve, Facepunch Studios, Iron Gate or Coffee Stain. Game names are used only to describe compatibility and are trademarks of their respective owners.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Tunnelcast is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any event will be relayed accurately or without delay.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tunnelcast and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
9. Termination and Account Deletion
You may stop using Tunnelcast at any time. You can delete your account yourself from your account settings. When you do, your account is soft-deleted with a 30-day recoverable grace period, after which your data is permanently purged, and your relay access is revoked immediately so connected clients can no longer relay data under your account. Exactly what is deleted and what is retained in scrubbed form is described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Tunnelcast after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Contact
